Sofia Vergara

Sofia Margarita Vergara Vergara is Colombian-born actress, who was born and raised in Barranquilla. Margarita Davila de Vergara is her mother. Julio Enrique Vergara Robayo is her father. He supplies cattle to the meat industry. She has five brothers and sisters. She went to a private, bilingual school, which taught Spanish as well as English. She then studied pre-dental. Sofia did not get noticed at the beach by an experienced photographer. It led to getting modeling gigs as well as television appearances. She was already a runway-model at age 23. From 1995 to 1998, she hosted a travel program, Fuera de serie (1995), which gave her recognition in her native United States. Her debut film role came in the crime comedy Big Trouble (2002).
